South Texas Bobcat Hunting
Hunting bobcats at Mellon Creek Outfitters is an exciting hunt that is done exclusively with our well-trained hound dogs. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush of hearing and seeing our dogs find the scent of a bobcat and take off. With over 110,000 acres to hunt, we have a wide variety of landscapes for bobcats to thrive. Mellon Creek Outfitters is located on the outskirts of Refugio, Texas, just northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas. The terrain varies from bay front and prairieland to saltgrass, crop fields, and thick brush, providing a diverse landscape for an abundance of wildlife. Bobcat hunting is only done in the cooler months, so be sure to contact us and get your hunt booked!

Bobcat Hunt Details
Our bobcat hunts are 3-day hunts that take place after dark or early morning. Bobcat hunting is done 100% with hunting dogs. We typically get the dogs out of their boxes and follow behind in the truck until they pick up the scent of a cat. Once the bobcat is treed, then it’s all up to the hunter to finish the job.
Bobcats are considered a fur-bearing animal in Texas, so only a regular hunting license is required for residents or a non-resident 5-day special hunting License for out-of-state hunters.

What is included:
- 3 Days worth of fully guided hunting
