Guided Bobcat Hunts in South Texas
Hunt Details
Our South Texas bobcat hunts are exciting, guided hunts done exclusively with our well-trained hound dogs. These are 3-day hunts, with most of the hunting taking place after dark or early morning.
Hunting Methods
We typically get the dogs out of their boxes and follow behind in the truck until they pick up the scent of a cat. Once a fresh track is located, the real excitement begins. The hunt involves maneuvering through thick brush, sandy soil, and open pastureland, often chasing a cat that tries to escape using whatever landscape advantage available. Once the bobcat is treed, it’s all up to the hunter to finish the job. Shots can vary, but often happen at closer range.
