South Texas Turkey Hunting
Hunting Rio Grande Turkey in South Texas is a must on any hunter's bucket list. With over 110,000 acres to hunt, we are fortunate enough to offer some of the most incredible Turkey hunting in South Texas. Our predator control ensures that our turkey population stays abundant year after year. While most of our turkey hunts are done on our own ranch, we do make use of some other local acreage to maximize our clients' potential for the best harvest possible. Mellon Creek Outfitters is located on the outskirts of Refugio, Texas, just northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas. The terrain varies from bay front and prairieland to saltgrass, crop fields, and thick brush, providing a diverse landscape for Turkey to thrive.
Turkey Hunt Details
Turkey hunting season is mid March. Our turkey hunts are 4 day hunts. All hunts start on the evening of the day you arrive and you will hunt the following three full days, the last morning and conclude at noon. Guides will take all hunters to our range to check their shotguns before hunting if desired. Guides will field dress your harvest and shipping to our recommended taxidermist is included. We will ship the bird to you or your taxidermist for an additional fee. We also have a recommended local processor if so desired.
Our hunts are typically done setting up with decoys and calling them in. We typically hunt the first 2-4 hours and last 2-4 hours of daylight.
A valid Texas hunting license will be required for this hunt.

What is included:
- 4 Days worth of fully guided hunting.
- Field dress/skin/quarter
