South Texas Waterfowl Hunting
The Gulf Coast of Texas is said to have some of the best waterfowl hunting in North America, with migratory birds being drawn to the local freshwater marshes, coastal prairies, and tidal flats. With over 110,000 acres to hunt, Mellon Creek Outfitters is fortunate enough to offer some of the most incredible waterfowl hunting in South Texas. Mellon Creek Outfitters is located on the outskirts of Refugio, Texas, just northeast of Corpus Christi, Texas. The terrain varies from bay front and prairieland to saltgrass and crop fields with 11 freshwater ponds scattered across the main ranch.
Waterfowl Hunt Details
Waterfowl hunting is done from November to January. Hunts vary from 1 to 5 days, and we do require a minimum of 4 hunters to book a hunt. Most hunts are typically done in the early morning, with occasional afternoon hunts. A frames, layouts, and brush blinds are utilized along with our professionally trained retrievers. Guides will field dress your harvest, and shipping to our recommended taxidermist is included. We will ship the bird to you or your taxidermist for an additional fee.
A valid Texas hunting license will be required for this hunt.
